Hand compounded and polished the oxidized paint on the '90 Fox wagon project, added GTI wheels that put a nice subtle lift on it. Probably needs another round of love though, maybe some wetsand and polish. There are some deep stains in there still from sitting under a tree for 4 years. God I love single stage paint though. Thinking of grabbing a N/A GTI motor and throwing another couple inches of lift on it. Next up plastidip for the wheels and rockers and some interior plastic hunting (a bit of cracks on center console and other random bits). Little bit of time gave it a much better look than when I bought it last week.
Mechanical - I did brakes all around, fuel pump and FP relay, fuel metering adjustment, new belts, new shifter bushings, techtonics SS exhaust, GTI rims w/Michelins, Bilsteins, assorted suspension bushings, cap, rotor, plugs, coil, wires, Bosch wiper blades.
Out of pocket to this point including car, $700 (car had most of these parts in boxes in the trunk, plus a set of new snows on 13" steelies)

Those wheels look great. I look forward to following this project. All the the things I wish I could have done to mine back in the day.

not bad of a price at all. I love the coupes, and had access to one, but I need a wagon at all times. I wish they had continued making the coupe through more generations. I think they concepted the mk4 as a coupe if I remember correctly. Now I just want a Jetta 2 door wagon...

I love the fact that you lifted a VW, instead of mad stancing it bro. Looks good!

cars dont make good sleds in my eyes. Snows too damn much up here. Those 13" cookie cutters with studs are going to tear it up when the white stuff flies

Very nice! Love the wheels and can't wait to see it frolic in the snow.
